I didn’t go for the big bucks, but got a Kindle Fire HD instead. All of your review was accurate but not having any Android experience, I’d like to know how to download Iblink radio. You’re a great reviewer.

`So am I right in thinking that this is just talkback with ivona voices? Sounds like it if you need firefox for web browsing.

This presentation took me over the line between whether to buy or not. It is generally over my head at this point, however as I have never used a Kindle or touch screen device. My wife has a Kindle Fire which she got for Christmas last year. In view of my not having ever worked with the above mentioned, would it be advisable for me to start with her Kindle to see if I can use one before getting this one?

Great review! I, too, purchased the Kindle Fire HDX and agree with Buddy’s findings. I have, however, read an entire book on the Kindle and have shopped for some books, as well. My Kindle has become an entertainment device. Although I had to go to the 1mobile site because I could not find these apps on Amazon, I have loaded iBlink Radio, as well as my Time Warner Cable TV app onto the Kindle.

Are you able to update the version of Talkback on the device? The newest Talkback lets you enable the old gestures for changing reading granularity. Also, did the “focus speech audio” talkback setting have any effect on the ducking issue?
